McMurphy's Arrival

During the first ten minutes of the movie. How do you think McMurphy has portrayed himnself as after being released from police custody and celebrating by kissing the officer v. the book by Ken Kesey? SIDENOTE: Today is Herman Rorschach- renowned psychiatrist and psychoanalyst- mainly known for his creation of the ink blot tests

  1. I think that mcmurphy portrayed himself as very cocky and self confident person who does not take this whole situation he is in seriously, this shows us the type of person he is right off the bat and the type of attitude that we can expect from him for the rest of the movie. Although he deos this most likely becasue he is bored but we soon find out there is a greater purpse for him doing this and this institution may be the best place for him even tho he might of entered out of a joke

  2. McMurphy portrayed himself as a cocky, self-centered person who did not care much about the rules and mainly acted on impulse. when he was getting his handcuffs taken off he yelled that the police had no more custody of him and he topped it off by kissing the officer on the head.
