Luke's behavior

why do you think Luke acted rebellious in the movie?

  1. Because he doesn't know what to do with his life. The whole movie is about how he was drunk and made a bad choice.

    1. I agree. I also believe the death of his mother also raised his rebellion.Luke's reason for reason for rebellion is similar to how McMurphy rebelled even more after Cheswick's death.

    2. I would agree as well because his attitude shows that he has had some sort of conflict happen in his past where he does not want to follow regulation and the guards are not use to thgis because useally the prisioners are just easyto submit to there ways and will where as luke has a mind of his own and rebles and the guards dislike this and try their best to chnge his ways.

  2. I do not think that Luke acted rebellious but, was trying to convey a point that when being stranded in a correction facility. there are many more things that one can do while, still doing their work cutting the grass. A great example would be when he influenced the workers to pave the road faster and faster. After they were done the workers had asked Luke about what to do next and his response was "nothing". some of the best things in life can be done by doing nothing.
